Set in the world of city finance, the BBC and politics, 'In the Red' is a skillfully plotted, blackly humorous murder mystery. In a series of bizarre murders, all the victims are bank managers and all are murdered using a 1.00 coin. On the trail of the murderer are an old style Chief Inspector and an inebriate but shrewd journalist - BBC Radio Crime Correspondent, George Cragge.
